| After that Fancy was retired as a broodmare, and she has since produced 6 wonderful foals. Read about them below. FANCY'S OFFSPRING: My Sweet Revenge a.k.a. "Junior" 1996 APHA sorrel frame overo stallion Sire: Mr Mystical (sorrel frame overo) "Montana" (not registered) 1997 APHA palomino frame overo mare Sire: Mr Mystical (sorrel frame overo) Montana is owned by family friends who sent her to a cattle ranch in Utah for her first couple summers under saddle. She turned into one heck of a cow horse and was awesome to ride at last update. I will be trying to get a new update and hopefully some photos of her soon. Diamond Poco Cowgirl a.k.a. "Friday" 2001 APHA sorrel overo mare Sire: Diamonds Poco Dell (gray AQHA) Friday was sold as a 2 year old and then purchased back when she was 5. I have just rehomed her again and she is starting her barrel career and doing AWESOME! She took 1st in barrels on June 1, 2008 with a 19 second run, which was only her 2nd or 3rd race. Keep in mind they've only owned her for a few weeks now and she hadn't been ridden in 2 years! I think they are a pair to keep an eye on this summer! "Billy" (not registered) 2002 APHA palomino overo gelding Sire: Parr Eyed Jack (AQHA buckskin) Billy was sold as a yearling to a nice family. Instant Three a.k.a. "Cowboy" 2004 APHA solid bay gelding Sire: Instant King (AQHA bay) Cowboy is currently in reined cow horse training with Max Salisbury. He has had approximately 30 days on him as of June 1st. Cowboy is for sale! Mity Fancy Cowgirl a.k.a. "Cowgirl" 2006 APHA solid bay mare Sire: Instant King (AQHA bay) Cowgirl was sold as a late weanling. |
| Fancy has been a part of our family since 1991. My father purchased her as a yearling at the county fair where she was being shown in halter (and won). Fancy was broke to ride as a 3 year old but was too much for my mom to handle, so she became my horse. Over the years I showed her in open shows doing western pleasure, trail & halter and we almost always brought home ribbons. Even in the dead of winter with her wooly coat, the judges always loved her. When Fancy was about 6 years old she realized she had speed and could run, so I started her on barrels. Just finished her training and was getting ready to take her to her first race when our mare Peppy kicked her in the hind leg, breaking a small bone and ending her riding career. |
